Your First Visit with Our Dental Hygienist

Your first session is fully tailored to you.
Dr. Costantino or Dr. Lucia will take all the time needed to get to know you thoroughly: your oral health condition, habits, needs, brushing technique, the unique characteristics of your smile, and your expectations.
After this evaluation phase, a personalized oral hygiene instruction session follows. During this time, the most effective techniques to care for your smile will be explained and demonstrated according to the Tell-Show-Do method.
This is followed by a complete professional dental hygiene session performed using state-of-the-art technology.At the end of the appointment, we will recommend a personalized maintenance plan or define the most suitable recall interval for you, to keep your smile healthy, clean, and radiant over time.

Regular Recall Session

During recall appointments, a thorough evaluation of the condition of your teeth and gums is always carried out.
You will receive clear, personalized feedback, and if necessary, Dr. Costantino or Dr. Lucia will suggest small interventions or adjustments to further improve your oral health.
This is followed by a complete and gentle professional hygiene session using advanced instruments and techniques, along with an update of home-care instructions.
If needed, we will review brushing and oral care techniques together, again using the Tell-Show-Do method.Finally, we will establish the optimal recall interval for you, ensuring your smile remains healthy, fresh, and bright over time.

Duration and Fees

• First visit: 90 minutes – €170
• Regular recall session: 60 minutes – €115

For children and situations requiring less time, we naturally apply proportionate fees.

What Is Included in the First Visit with Our Dental Hygienists
(Dr. Costantino Macris or Dr. Lucia Gremi)

Initial evaluation and periodontal screening, including the assessment of two key gum health indices:

• FMBS (Full Mouth Bleeding Score): measures gum bleeding
• DPSI (Dutch Periodontal Screening Index): classifies periodontal risk

Treatment using Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), including:

• Biofilm staining to make plaque visible
• Removal of plaque and tartar using next-generation fine powder devices (EMS Airflow Prophylaxis Master) and ultrasound, in a minimally invasive and comfortable manner

Application of targeted products such as fluoride or chlorhexidine gels and mousses, or other active agents to strengthen enamel, reduce sensitivity, and protect the gums

Personalized home oral hygiene instructions, including advice on brushing techniques, use of dental floss and interdental brushes, and selection of the most suitable products for your mouth
