Initial Consultation
The First Step Toward Your Smile
Your journey begins with a free initial consultation with our front desk manager.
You may choose the option that is most convenient for you: by phone, video call, or in person. The consultation lasts approximately 15–20 minutes—enough time to understand your needs and answer your questions. At the end of the conversation, we will schedule your first in-office appointment together.
Optional Consultation with a Dentist
If you wish, you may request an optional 30-minute consultation directly with one of our dentists. The reduced fee is €40.
Please note that before starting any treatment, a complete smile evaluation is always required—an essential step to accurately define the most appropriate treatment plan for your needs.

Smile Evaluation
A Comprehensive Check-Up for Your Oral Well-Being
We are pleased to welcome you to our practice in Ponte Tresa for your Smile Evaluation, an in-depth visit designed to take care of your oral health in a comprehensive and personalized way.
The appointment lasts approximately one hour and has a fixed cost of €120. Any radiographs, if necessary, will be charged separately.
During the visit, one of our dentists will guide you through a detailed evaluation that includes:
- Initial consultation to gather your dental history and understand your aesthetic and functional goals
- Clinical examination of the teeth
- Gum evaluation with recording of the DPSI (Dutch Periodontal Screening Index)
- Diagnostic radiographs, if deemed necessary
- Oral cancer screening
- When indicated, a complete digital scan of the mouth using advanced technology
All collected data will be carefully analyzed to formulate a personalized treatment plan, tailored to your specific needs and focused on your long-term well-being.
Presentation of the Treatment Plan
One of the distinguishing features of Dr. Frank van Uffelen Dental Practice is the care we take in presenting the treatment plan.
Our goal is to ensure that every patient fully understands the dentist’s recommendations and can make an informed and conscious decision.
This phase represents a fundamental moment in our approach: an open dialogue in which the patient is an active participant in defining their own care pathway.

Care Pathway with the Dental Hygienist
Taking care of oral hygiene is the first step toward maintaining a healthy mouth and, consequently, overall well-being. A proper daily routine, combined with regular appointments with a dental hygienist, helps prevent cavities, gum inflammation, and many other issues.
Professional hygiene sessions not only provide deep cleaning of the teeth but also offer personalized advice and effective preventive strategies tailored to each patient’s needs.
To ensure a thorough assessment and complete treatment, we reserve 90 minutes for this first appointment. The cost is €170.
The indicated fees apply to adult patients with a full set of teeth and regular conditions
In cases of missing teeth, pediatric patients, or special needs, the appointment duration may be shorter and the cost adjusted accordingly.
In more complex cases, one or more additional appointments may be required. These will always be discussed in advance and accompanied by a clear and transparent estimate.
Follow-Up Visits
Prevention is one of the fundamental pillars of our approach. At the end of the dentist’s check-up or the dental hygiene session, we define together with the patient the ideal frequency of follow-up visits, based on the health of the gums, teeth, and any specific needs.
To ensure continuity and consistency in the care pathway, we immediately schedule the next appointment, which will be reminded in advance with notifications 72 and 24 hours before the visit.
This allows us to monitor your oral health over time and intervene promptly, reducing the risk of future complications.
